When a streaming service says they are not going to pay AI generated artists many people in the music community see that as a win. The bigger picture may not be quite as simple. If the streaming service doesn’t have to pay royalties to the AI band but does have to pay human artists which one is more likely to get promoted? Hint: it’s not the real artist.

If you are a musician that uses social media as your main source of promo it's worth looking at what happened Sunday. Any of the social media companies can shut down completely without notice leaving creators without their work and in many cases their only source of income. Have multiple sources of revenue or at least a backup plan. Build a website. (see previous article) You never know what's coming.
